This is the perfect interaction between these two characters, both at the best of their comedy here.asc43501https://www.blogger.com/profile/04512377228330685802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4364805792882783170.post-23284178701237399252010-02-28T11:59:42.219-05:002010-02-28T11:59:42.219-05:00This is one of my absolute favourites too. I remember watching this along with 'On Ice' when I was really little, and I think it was this double bill which cemented the Disney characters as one of my favourite things!

The fantastic sense of scale and height, along with all the giant mechanisms inside the clock really captures the imagination, but it's the characters that make the cartoon. Goofy's dangerous concussed walk and Mickey's desperate attempts to save him remains one my favourite Disney scenes ever. I love the combination of silliness and danger with the perfect music to fit it (and in turn the action then perfectly fits and keep in time to the music). It's actually quite a shock when Goofy falls through the gap in the ladder (I anticipated him walking across Mickey's back, but he doesn't get there in time), but the pay off is just perfect.Machttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17701967442508380462noreply@blogger.com
